They’ll always be jean shirts to me. I had a splendid collection of them in the early ’90s. But nowadays, when I’m around cool kids, I sometimes do call them chambray. (And, really, there is a difference between denim and chambray, but who’s getting technical?)
I recreated this outfit idea from the elements in my closet for my meetings Tuesday (I had a meeting every.morning this week. Consequently, I’ve done myself in. Last night was a cry-in-the-bathtub-it-hurts-so bad night. Tonight: massage.).
But back to chambray-hey. I’m digging the throwback look, in fitted cuts and classic shades. Not so much the star patterns, though. I can only venture so far back into my childhood past.
One day when I was feeling daring, I wore my polka dot chambray shirt with blue jeans. Denim on denim, yes ma’am. I finished it off with a pink scarf and gold flats and I felt quite snazzy.
What do you say?
Are you feeling the chambray?
